Welcome!

Procrastination is a common topic in our society. Majority of college students have procrastinated on homework, projects, and/or assignments before, but how common is it? Psychologist Piers Steel, PhD, reports that 80 percent to 95 percent of college students procrastinate (Psychological Bulletin, Vol. 133, No. 1). Procrastination is commonly seen as negative and lazy, but if so many scholars are waiting until the last minute to do their work, how negative is it overall? Have we adapted to procrastinate efficiently? In the work that is procrastinated, is it at its full potential, or is it minimal effort? We want to understand who the people are that choose this stressful method and why it works for them or doesn’t work.
