In this class, we got some more practice with making sketches to illustrate design ideas that address specific problems. This time we focused on something familiar – the web site for the WWU Psychology Department. We started by thinking of some potential audiences for this page; here’s what we came up with:

We then spent some time exploring the site from the perspective of these different kinds of users, and thought about what we’d be looking for, and where the design of the site matched vs. violated our expectations. Based on this, we came up with a “wish list” of changes we’d like to see on the site:
