This genre is a drawing. I chose to draw a picture of Rupi Kaur to challenge myself. I am not artistically inclined whatsoever, and so I thought that by putting myself up to the challenge I would learn a lot about myself and more about Rupi Kaur through the process. I typically learn better through having things written out for me and have always stuck to that learning method. Through drawing, I was able to see another side of that. I think that the art behind a drawing and a picture is really beautiful. It can often time say more than words can.

Ultimately, I was inspired by Rupi Kaur and her style of drawing. I wanted to emulate her in this drawing of her to capture the raw essence of beauty that she so incredibly portrays. I put myself in the shoes of Rupi Kaur to explore this new genre of writing and it was overall a really fun experience!
