Presentations from the 2018 Salish Sea Ecosystem Conference will be made available through the online, open access repository Western CEDAR. Through CEDAR, the Salish Sea Ecosystem Conference materials from 2014 and 2016 have been downloaded over 17,000 times at over 1,200 institutions. These materials have been used by researchers around the globe and by students in the classroom.
- Individual presenters will be required to submit proceedings, and have the option of submitting an extended abstract, PDF of PowerPoint presentation, or full manuscript of their oral or poster presentation. Session Chairs must also submit an edited report or summary of the session and its outcomes.
- The deadline for all proceedings submissions is June 1, 2018. Presenters, however, are encouraged to submit their proceedings onsite during the conference. There will be a CEDAR representative available in the Speaker Prep Room (WSCC Room 601) throughout the conference to answer questions, and assist with uploading presentations.
- To make these materials available, authors will be expected to sign a non-exclusive license which allows their work to be placed in CEDAR. Authors will retain their copyright to these materials.
