Registration is now open for the 2020 Salish Sea Ecosystem Conference!

Please use the links at the bottom of the page to begin registration.

If you are registering for more than one individual, you must use the group registration link. Please see below for Frequently Asked Questions, and for more information about the registration schedule, rates and category definitions.

FAQ

Q: Can I purchase Conference Swag onsite?
A: No. Swag must be purchased in advance through the registration portal. Purchased swag can be picked up onsite during registration.

Q: How do I submit a Purchase Order (PO)?
A: All purchase orders must include a unique identifying number and be paid within 30 days. Before registering, please be sure you have a digital copy of your PO available to upload. Payments cannot be accepted until an invoice from Western Washington University has been issued.

  1. Register using the “Group Registration” link
  2. When prompted, select purchase order as your payment method
  3. Use the link in your receipt to complete the supplementary PO form. This is where you will attach a copy of your PO.

Q: What if I don’t know yet the names of those who will be attending?
A: You may register for the conference and submit a PO with placeholder names. However, the names of all attendees will be required to complete your purchase.

Early Rate:Registration completed between December 2, 2019 – January 31, 2020
Regular Rate: Registration completed between February 1, 2020 – March 31, 2020
Onsite Rate:Registration completed at the conference venue April 19-22, 2020.

Registration Category Definitions

General Attendee:Anyone who does not register under one of the defined reduced-rate categories (Tribes & First Nations, Non-Profit or Community Organization, or Student)
Tribes & First Nations Attendee: Anyone who is a registered member of a tribe or First Nation or is attending the conference as an employee or elected official of a Tribe or First Nation
Non-Profit or Community Organization Attendee:Anyone who is attending the conference as an employee or board member of a Non-Government Organization (NGO), understood as a nonprofit organization independent of a government that seeks to effect changes according to their objectives
Student Attendee:Anyone enrolled in high school, or who is a fully matriculated community college or university student. PeaceCorp and Americorp volunteers are also included in the student category
Educators:No special registration category is available.
Retirees:No special registration category is available.
Community Scientists:No special registration category is available.

Refund Policy:
Workshops and swag are non-refundable. Registration cancellation requests must be received in writing to conferences@wwu.edu no later than two (2) weeks before the event begins, and is subject to an $85 handling charge for any refund. Substitutions can be made in lieu of cancellation. No reduction in fees is given for late arrival or early departure. This policy applies to all registrations. A full refund will be made if the conference is cancelled.
