Preschool Science Club: Explore Sea Creatures and Other Science

Ages 3-5. Through interactive lessons, preschoolers learn about the wonders of science, large and small, in our world. Each week, children take a closer look at something science – sea animals, things that float and more – encouraging curiosity and hands-on exploration. Stories, crafts and engaging activities provide opportunities to develop creativity and skills. Parents welcomed to stay and participate. $39/youth. Register through Poulsbo Parks and Recreation.

Elementary Science Club: Dive Deep into Science

Grades 3-5. Take a deep dive into the sciences through hands on investigations, experiments and problem-solving challenges. Elementary schoolers explore questions like: What phenomena occur in the three biospheres? Why is water so important and unique to the world? How can we use a microscope to discover more about our surroundings? $60/youth. No class Oct. 31. Register through Poulsbo Parks and Recreation.

Thursdays, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Middle School Science Club

Grades 6-8. Through hands-on explorations, middle schoolers begin to identify and understand the world around us and beyond. We start small and ask big questions. Experiment with the unique properties of water, figure out how things work, create solutions for problems, and so much more. Participants should bring their curiosity and problem-solving abilities! $60/youth. Register through Poulsbo Parks and Recreation.

Tuesdays, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

  • Session 1: Oct. 15-Nov. 5
  • Session 2: Jan. 28-Feb. 18
  • Session 3: Mar. 3-24

Paint Party Art Classes

  • Three Wednesdays, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
  • Grades 3-8
  • $65 per child, plus $25 supply fee

Sessions:

  • Bewildering Biodiversity! (Oct. 23, 30, Nov. 6, 2019): Students use acrylic paint to paint three different animals from land, sea and air that they could see in their backyard.
  • Oceans Everywhere! (Feb. 12, 19, 26, 2020): Participants focus on the watery habitat of the ocean. Each week, they use acrylic paint to paint a different part of the ocean and an animal that makes its home there.
