Traction Journal 5
The 5th traction journal prompt asks us to reflect on how E1 is going so far and all I would have to say to that is that I’m LEARNING SO MUCH. I mean even this blog and learning to use WordPress is fundamental to so many others areas of my life where I need an outlet for writing.
From day 1 of E1, this journey has been something that I both expected and did not expect all at the same time. I had a strong hunch when enrolling for this minor that it would most likely be full of like minded, highly motivated, innovation headed, and unique personalities. When guest speaker Laura Sanchez said, “Entrepreneurs are a unique breed,” I thought hell yeah we are! 🙂 That part I expected. I did not expect that all of use would come together, connect and work hard as team so quickly.
It’s truly been amazing to be a part of each others projects and thought processes. I’ve made friends amidst a global pandemic, improved my side hustle outside of this class and realized that if I put my mind to something, with the right resources I can complete really awesome projects. Projects operating from a WHY and taking action from the inside out.
To sum up E1 up until this point: I value E&I because I’m surrounded by individuals who are seeking to solve problems, are seeking both personal and career growth and ultimately are seeking ways to show up for themselves and the world, in BIG WAYS. That, is brave and these are the people I want in my circle.
Below you will read about this past week in E&I and our VP2 team’s progress.

Yas!! I love that you are taking time to get to know your teammates! Makes group work soooo much more fun! The last quote you posted is so powerful, thank you! Watch out for those “would” questions when doing interviews, remember the Jacksons interview workshop!
this is incredible work. I am so glad you are finding new ways to connect with your group and demonstrate your learning. The take away that you have from guest speakers is always so incredible and different than the view I have. I am so blessed to hear your perspectives. The quotes and take away from Ugly but Tasty are so valuable. I am really glad it helped your team. This look’s like it is shaping up to be a great project and quarter for you! Keep going strong!
That celery juice looks tasty. Also, your notes for ugly but tasty are great; a simple pen and paper can help organize your thoughts so well. Your posts always astound me with their professional presentation and thought. Fantastic work!
