Hi guys!
So this past week was something else LOL. Would you agree?? It was full of learning, pivoting, connection making and work. And, I did all of these things with some great people in my circle who were all also putting their own work in. Talk about motivating and inspiring. By Wednesday my VP2 team and I were focused in on completing our final prototypes to present to our client. On Friday we had a pitch deck prepared to present our offerings/consultations. It was awesome to not only present what we thought would be of great benefit to their business BUT also to further our projects development by asking for feedback about our offering and if this fit within in their companies goals. We learned A LOT from the meeting with them and can’t wait to ‘edit’ some of our traction to provide an even stronger researched and empathetically developed project.
I’m ready to show up this week. Show up for the connections. The work. The vision. And, the joy of creating! What about you, what are you showing up for this week?
Below I included a poem by Cleo Wade which I love. Last week, as part of a personal growth exercise, I wrote down a list of the fears I’m currently aware of. After that, I repeated this mantra through out the week: I free myself of these fears. I free myself of these fears. I free myself of these fears. Then I said, “I give myself a chance to see what I can really do.”
That being said, I had a really brave, bold and intentional week 🙂
What did I love about this week?
- Finalizing our VP2 prototypes and seeing all the hard work and development come together.
- After Change Leadership, I have continued meeting with 2 peers to have intentionally connection themed conversations. It has been amazing to get to know my peers and their dreams!
- Using what I’m learning in this class to build my networking skills outside of the classroom.
What resonated with me in the workshops?
1.That networking isn’t comfortable but it’s exercising those ‘muscles’ which brings so any good things and opportunites!
2.Going all in for the causes that feel right to one’s very individual and beautiful journey as both an entreprenur and change maker.
3.Our dreams are ACHIEVABLE!
How might I apply this week’s learnings to my venture?
I loved the networking event because those skills are EXTREMELY applicable to consulting. I think one of the things I’m most proud about in regards to this VP2 project is my team’s dedication to asking good questions and then follow up questions.
What did I learn in shift and share- what did I love, what would I have loved to see?
I found Katelynn’s Shift & Share especially valuable because one of my focus’s with VP2 has been offering a social media type package. Her presentation gave me some great inspiration, insight and knowledge to further develop an offering for our client!
I would have loved to see maybe a little more interactive content through out the presentations, which Gavin’s shift and share was awesome with the prompts, but other than that it was a great experience.
What does excellence look like for your team and I? What’s needed to get from here to there?
Excellence for our team look like:
1.Consistent and empathetic driven conversations with client
2.Strong ideations and brainstorming
3.Evidence backed prototypes
4.Happy clients who will really value our offering!
5.A concise pitch which clearly demonstrates our offering.
6.Strong team morale
7.Not waiting until the last minute to finish up the rubric requirments
Goals this week:
E&I:
1.Start business report
2.Finish deliverable prototypes for client
3.Organize GoogleDrive
Personal:
1.Connect with my mentor
2.2 running days outside to fuel my soul
3.Update my personal brand IG: @gymnasticsstrength as I embark on awesome adventures this summer relating to my purpose 🙂
Kristina,
Wonderful traction post this week, wonderful to see the interweaving of your personal work outside the class and the projects and experiences you have within the E+I bubble. Such a blessing to get to follow your journey. I am also really proud of your team this quarter for your dedication to strong process and meeting your clients with excellence in your offering. It’s awesome to see that you guys have made such full traction with your client even before pitch season kicks off this week. I know for many this quarter has been a struggle between quarantine burnout and just the regular stress and speed of spring quarter, but this is an affirmation that you are seriously killing it! You got this, your dreams truly ARE achievable.
All the best,
Gavin 🙂
Hey Kristina,
I agree with Gavin, what a beautiful traction journal. I also went onto your gymnastics coaching page on Instagram and I am just so inspired by you and how intentional you are in being kind and an empathetic member of your community to provide that safe space for young girls. I truly think it is awesome. I also am super glad to hear that all of your work from this quarter’s venture is really coming together. It is always so nice to just copy and paste everything from the evidence locker into a pitch deck because for the most part all the information is already there. I really enjoy the multi media aspects of your traction journals, truly above and beyond!
Kristina,
I really enjoyed reading about your past week but what I cant stop thinking about how you are constantly planning for the future, better yet the goals you have really stood out to me, personally I have some goals but I’ve realized that they’re big/major goals, and from what I read in yours Im really lacking in making short day to day goals that would vastly expedite me reaching my bigger goals, I’ve always known the importance of goals but I’ve really needed a realization like this to prompt me to jump on it. That was side tracked from your actual post but Im really happy things are mounting up for your project as they should, by the sounds of it you guys seem really close to wrapping it all up, especially with pitches coming next week. I wish you guys the best as you push to finish this quarter and year off strong!
Best,
Saul M.
Hey Kristina,
Amazing journal this week! It sounds like you guys are in a pretty good place coming into these final pitches. I also love your attitude coming into this week. Saying that you are prepared and ready to conquer what is going to come your way this week with all of the chaos coming up. Another thing you included is the statement “Our dreams are achievable.” This statement is incredible motivation and is great to remind ourselves of. All of the guest speakers this week and people we talked to helped show is this as well. Overall, it was great to read your journal this week, and I wish your group good luck for the final pitch!
