Spring 22 VP1 Wrap Up

“I’m really looking forward to seeing what life brings to me.”

Rihanna
Just in case you haven’t seen this before… Also, Rihanna’s quote on self- love and success on 2:25-2:40; go listen 🙂

Heyyyy!

First of all, why not start out with some Rihanna inspiration. Talk about a HUGE entrepreneurial spirit and art and creativity to look up too. I loved the above quote because I want to take that same energy into VP2, I’m really looking forward to what VP2 can bring to me 🙂 I can’t help but think about those moments in my life where I have chosen a path most in line with my values, skills, personality, and desires. Those were big moments because I was following a path that felt so aligned and the success just came along with it. I guess it would be following one’s True North in reference to E&I learnings and philosophy.

Can you think of time when you felt most aligned? Share in the comments 🙂

Reflecting on your pitch and wrapping up Venture Project One, how did it go?

VP1 went smoothly and without too much stress. We had a great team who all contributed both time and work. I think there was a lack of enthusiasm for the direction we decided to go with the offering BUT there were a couple dynamics at play here. I’ve been reflecting on how we could have increased the enthusiasm and just overall joy and something we could learn from is meeting the day of kick off. Maybe, rather than waiting a couple days. Accessibility is such a broad and exciting topic but with basically 3 days to decide on a product/service, it proved rathe difficult. I’d love to have a conversation with some of the teaching team on how to better choose a product/service with shared enthusiasm when working with a team of diverse personalities and passions.

With your team

Like I mentioned earlier the team dynamic was strong and consistent. Keeping our team traction journal was key for brainstorming and making sure that each team member felt seen, heard and supported.

With the evidence-based entrepreneurship skills

In regard to evidence, I think again, time was not on our side with the amount and details of evidence. It’s extremely difficult to introduce primary and secondary research and the varying levels of developing interviewing skills. But we met the requirements and learned a lot in the process.

With discovering a new accessibility opportunity

I think it’s really important to find a why behind the opportunities that are coming up when designing solutions to problems because passion and purpose will drive a project forward.

What have you learned about yourself?

I learned that creating a system and implementing a systemized approach to maintaining joy is VITAL. People, first. Direction, second. I learned that when I don’t prioritize connection with myself and my team, the flow is much less smooth.

From this learning, what will you carry forward into Venture Project Two?

JOY. CONNECTION. And, implementing more courage to see outside the box.

Other Relatable Things 🙂
