Hey guys! I came across this journaling prompt the other day and thought it was one which was worth reflecting upon and sharing:
If you could offer yourself only one piece of advice for the next month ahead, what would it be?
Maria Forleo, VIA LinkedIn
What would my one piece of advice be for myself into the next month ahead? Hmm… it would be to set my eyes on what I want to accomplish and if something does no align with those things then those things are not of priority. I’ve found myself making choices which resulted in me procrastinating on my vision. Not even necessarily school related projects in regards to procrastinating but other outside ventures.
I came across this YouTube video and paid careful attention to minute 17:00-18:11. Basically Juergen Teller says life is so short, go out and create something with it 🙂 I would highly recommend taking the time to either watch the full episode or just the 17:00- 18:11 section.
What did you see that you loved at pitches this week?
” What I have realized the most being on the leadership track is that leadership isn’t me by myself. Leadership is me and others.”
– Emma Rose during her E6 pitch
I loved watching all the pitches this past week but what really stood out was Emma’s quote above. I think sometimes as entrepreneurs and innovator’s there’s this tendency to get caught up in fear because of perfection or that we have to do it on our own. Emma’s pitch was a great reminder that most of our projects will be pushed forward with other brilliant minds. And that people will show up to support whatever it is that you’re working to change/serve.
What went well this quarter?
Overall this was an amazing quarter. Our venture project 2 team accomplished SO much and LEARNED SO much. We worked great as a team of highly motivated individuals, who weren’t nervous to try new paths and we truly went into each experience with an open mind. Having a team of 11 also created a sense of doable tasks. When you’re splitting up the work load among 11 it almost seems too easy. Friendships were formed. Research was conducted. We built community through setting our intention to create an event that would do so.
Outside of the venture project, change leadership and traction journal posts were a success. As always. I’ll say it again but if you take these two assignement seriously THEY WILL positively impact your life and the directions in which you’re hoping to go. Super grateful.

Hey Kristina!
Yay we made it! Great job. I watched the 17-18:11 minute in the video, I’m going to have to go back and watch the rest. It looks really good. Just from the the minute I did watch I love how honest and real the photographer was. Also I love that quote from Emma Rose. I didn’t even realize she had said that but I totally agree. Lastly, I’m so happy to hear your team project went well. being in that big of a group sound both intimidating and exciting.
Kristina! Thank you for always creating such thoughtful and engaging posts! You are truly amazing! Emma Rose’s presentation also stuck out to me! The leadership isn’t just you working by yourself bit that she emphasized! I definitely need that reminder!
