How did this quarter go for you?
Overall, better than I could have expected. The past 2 quarters all of my peers and I were working together online. Which was awesome and a great experience. Moving into a quarter where I was currently the only student zooming in was def a learning curve. Especially with a team of 11. My fellow teammates were able to meet in person and form in person bonds (which was incredible to witness) especially after a year where in person was not available. Despite being in different locations my teammates showed up for me and I couldn’t be more grateful for them going the extra mile to creating an atmosphere where I was always in the loop.
In the past I felt very committed to all the projects/ventures. This quarter was a little different with different variables at play. I was used to teams of 4 where there was ALWAYS work to go around haha and to projects where we were all working from online platforms. With a team of 11 and REALLY hard -working individuals the work was dispersed so that none of the tasks felt as heavy, if that makes sense.
Next quarter will also be a different dynamic due to it being more of a solo venture but I will be bringing with me a whole lot of new knowledge and experience to help improve the variables of the last quarter.
I would personally grade myself a B overall. My teammates tho, straight A’s. They did an incredible job coming together, thinking outside of the box and executing an event out of research and drive. SO. AWESOME.
What did you love?
I LOVE LOVE LOVE being a part of a program where leadership, empathy and connection are at the forefront. NONE of my other classes/courses teach this type of directive. Because of this class and the team project’s especially I have an a really strong developed confidence when it comes to presenting in front of others and taking inititate to lead projects.
I loved the event venture and plan on using what I learned moving into Winter 2021 and the development of my own unique venture.
What do you wish would have gone differently?
Like I mentioned above I wish that maybe I would have worked a little harder to feel more involved with The Collab team but it truly was a learning curve and I think we all did the absolute best we could with what expereince and knowledge we had at the time.
