“Discovering new brand opportunities has been a blast! Especially when being placed in a group with likeminded people ideas are never hard to come by. It almost feels like a recreational activity at this point to think about brands in a new way and try to find untapped opportunities for them. “
Gabe Meyer, on working with Team 7 on VP1
That’s A Wrap: VP1
WE DID IT!!! Our team had two E1’s, an E2, E4 (me) and an E5. I loved the fact that the team had diverse levels of understandings of entrepreneurship, and it was like we were going into a project with fresh eyes and big inspiration. I wanted to include Gabe’s quote from his traction journal because I thought it really summed up how our team flow played out. Everyone was committed, communicative and fun! Which made this project feel like a “recreational activity.” From experience in an academic setting and outside of academia when a project feels like THIS you always know you’re onto something, right?! Work no longer feels like work. Taking the time to work on the Team Alignment doc was, in my opinion, critical to our growth and success as a supportive team. We came to an understanding of our shared common goals and biggest hopes for VP1 from the very beginning and this propelled us throughout the entirety of the project.
With the evidence-based entrepreneurship skills I was excited to take the lead on the research portion. I’m taking a Sociology of research methods class this quarter and I was excited to use these new skills and put them into practice. I am a HUGE believer that research is CRITICAL and what will set your product/service apart from those lacking the evidence. Research takes A LOT of time, EMPATHY and intention (not to forget reading!!). I wanted to include the video below regarding secondary research. It was included as a supplemental video for my research methods class.
I took the time to research re-branding and what that means. I’ll attach the doc I created here. VP1 is fast and I would say the only true downfall is jumping into project with very little insight on how to go about a rebrand.
What have I learned about myself?
HABITS HABIT HABITS. Getting enough sleep, working out, prioritizing time for fun throughout my day, investing in friendships/humanity, etc.. These bring me light, and light brings me more creativity, focus and compassion. Throughout this winter quarter I have been reminded of this more than ever. I am very grateful for this awareness and I’m really looking forward to bringing a focused me (entreprenur) to VP2.
I stumbled upon an AMAZING podcast with Brene Brown and James Clear and it totally blew my mind. I highly recommend listening especially if you may be in a space of procrastination and lack of inspiration. SO. HELPFUL.
I have learned that the more I am operating from a place of my values the more creative, joyful and productive I am.
Hey Kristina!
Omg such valuable stuff here! I will definitely have to give that video a watch as secondary research is going to be SUPER important for my upcoming personal venture I think! I love your traction journals so much they always have so much fun energy to them! I am so glad VP1 went so well for you and your team! Also yay for the new training program! That is so exciting! It was nice being online with you this past monday! I hope you can study abroad with us so that we can work with you in person before I leave the program! hoping you are safe and well!

Hi Kristina!
First I’d like to say I just love your blog/traction journal, the entire thing looks amazing! I also really liked that you included quotes especially the one from James Clear. I’m curious was that quote from Atomic Habits? Also, it was a pleasure getting to work with you on VP1 I hope we’ll get to work on a project together in the future sometime.
Kristina you are so awesome! These posts are amazing! I love how much life you incorporate into them, and how you really dive in and reflect on everything you do. I love the quote you wrote down. Our habits truly are what we become. Great job on your posts and I am so excited to follow along this quarter!
Hey Kristina!
I love how colorful your blog posts are! I know that our research methods class is really hard, but really crucial! I think that both that class and E&I have really supportive communities! Super cool that you have so many habits that keep your life in line and I’m so glad that VP1 went well for you and you enjoyed working with the other students. I love how you took a picture with them over Zoom. I’m sure that everyone learned a lot and had fun!
