To reach younger, and fun-loving, audiences, teams have created a comic book series to teach readers about contaminated site cleanup. The series follows the lives of Fiona the dog, as she sniffs out trouble and calls on her superhero friends — MTCA Man, Crimson Consultant, Chrono Lady, and friends. Together, they form a scientifically-savvy team of remediators that can battle the powers of Contaminon, South Vadose, the Su-PAH Villains, and other evil characters out to destroy the environment with their chemical contamination. Along the way, our heroes, The Remediators!, lead us on an educational journey on MTCA, cleanup techniques, chemical fate and transport, public participation, and restoration.
