Sabah Randhawa, president of Western Washington University, has issued the following statement regarding undocumented students at WWU.
“The University has supported undocumented students in the past through strong advocacy for the Dream Act and this commitment of support by Western for these students continues unabated. We are committed as an educational institution to the teaching and learning of all admitted and enrolled students. Therefore our values are that our educational setting should not be utilized in any process which identifies undocumented students for the purposes of deportation. As an educational institution the University exists to teach students who are admitted and enrolled which includes undocumented students.”
