Happy Friday!

Today we have some more new tunes, plus an oldie but a goodie from yours truly, Sasha P.

It’s an eclectic mix today, starting with another slowed down pop song, a little number about words and the body, music for animals and sounds from a dorm, perhaps your own! If you’ve got some cool sounds to share, message me @sashpetrenko. Happy listening!

Special thanks to Chris Vargas’s Art 280 and Art 328: Art and Ecology, spring 2022, the class that just keeps on giving!

Hello,

It’s going to be a beautiful day in Bellingham. How about some sweet sounds to accompany all this sunshine. We’ll start with another track from Sound.Out.Radio TA, English major, Chris Barrett, where he slows down pop songs to reveal ambient bliss. Then something old from Sasha P., crafted one summer in a Bavarian forest. Followed by some experimental tunes from Professor Chris Vargas’s Art 280 students. We’ll wrap it up with one of my favorite pieces of sound art by the masterful Hildegard Westerkamp, Kits Beach. Thanks for listening!

Hello again.

Its the first day of classes for Sasha P., and we’re still ironing out a few techno kinks for the radio station in a new location so let’s listen again to that first fantastic playlist.

Upcoming next week, tune in for some live broadcasts, strange sounds from Whatcom Middle Schoolers, sound art from Art 109 and Art 280 students and more.
