Steam Center’s fearless leader Sasha Petrenko, Associate Professor of Sculpture and Expanded Media, has had a busy fall, producing new art and installations for Surge at the Northwest Museum of Art, Exit Bellingham and Flow at Puget Sound University in Tacoma. Woof! Additionally, she was lucky to make a quick trip to Oregon to catch the annular eclipse!

With all that almost behind us, the Steam Center is gearing up to reopen 10AM – 4PM, Friday, November 17th, 2023! To learn how to access tools sign up or drop in. We are open most Fridays by reservation. Currently we have lots of tools to share with students, staff and faculty who have completed training. If you have badges from Engineering, those can transfer!

Coming soon, new fun workshops including the ever popular spoon carving, laser cutting holiday fun and make a midi keyboard. Stay tuned for dates and times and how to sign up.
