Join The Lab

Lee Lab Environment

The Lee Lab is powered by undergraduate and Masters-level students whose scientific interests center on cellular & molecular biology and biochemistry, but have also included science communication, science visualization, computer science, and human health. After a period of training on key experimental and analysis techniques with Suzanne or more experienced students, new students are given the opportunity to work on individual projects that help address outstanding research questions and contribute to Lee Lab publications. The Lee Lab meets regularly as a team to discuss lab member questions, ongoing efforts and troubleshooting, newly published articles, and new ideas for future experiments. In addition, Lee lab members work closely with Suzanne to write research proposals and prepare conference and formal lab meeting presentations. We also enjoy the camaraderie of our neighboring lab, the Pollard lab, also in WWU Biology.

No matter what your science background or lab experience level, prospective student researchers with an interest in our research program are welcome to apply!

To apply, send Dr. Suzanne Lee (suzanne.lee@wwu.edu) an email expressing what interests you about our research group and our projects, plus a little bit about yourself. Whether you want to get involved with a current project, have an idea for a new project, or just want to learn more about our work, all are welcome! To read more about our experimental approaches and the work we do in the lab, check out our Research page.
