Photojournalism Blog 4 – People in Motion

The people in motion assignment involved grabbing shots of blurred action, stopped action, and panning shots of objects in motion in a way that would better tell a story. As a track coach and a team photographer of sorts, I take photos of stopped action nearly every week, so I found it fairly easy and I was able to come up with content reliably. The other shots were more difficult, as I very infrequently purposefully attempt to blur my photos. The blurred action and panning shots that I managed to take were not particularly impressive in my opinion, but I felt as if I did learn a lot from the assignment, and it was likely my favorite of the ones we’ve done so far.
