From spring quarter 2016 through winter quarter 2017, the Equal Opportunity Office at WWU was made aware of 11 incidents involving acts of anti-Semitism, including the use of swastikas or other anti-Jewish symbols and/or hate language. A Task Force on Preventing and Responding to Anti-Semitism issues this report.

Anti-Semitic incidents continue. For instance, on Monday, March 12, 2018, staff at WWU discovered several damaged books marked with anti-Semitic language in the Jewish Studies section of the library. That same week, a swastika was drawn on a poster outside the office of a faculty member.
