It’s an exciting time at the office when we start to hear about the first week of riding for our new eBike participants. Our four summer riders – 2 students, 2 staff- covered over 150 miles this past week. That’s like riding from Bellingham to Olympia, which is just about the entire length of the Salish Sea! Except, I don’t believe anyone attempted that trip.
Instead, our riders went to the movies, commuted from home to work, got to their appointments on time, and even went grocery shopping by eBike. These are the kinds of reports we love to see as it shows us how our users can seamlessly integrate this new transportation into their everyday lives.
Thanks for reading everyone, and if you haven’t received an orientation for your own participation in the Viking eBike program please jump on that! We want to have this program as accessible as possible across the WWU community.
