While we drift into fall, our summer quarter rider, Roseve, brings us back into summer with her rider report on our Viking eBike:
“This summer I had the opportunity to be one of the WWU eBike riders! I mostly used the bike to commute around Bellingham from home to work or appointments. In the past I used my bicycle occasionally to commute but felt discouraged by my lack of confidence in riding. I often depended on the bus or getting rides from friends which left me depending on others to get to work on time. With the eBike I was able to jump on and get to work on time and with ease. I quickly gained confidence in the first ride and was able to ride up hills and in traffic.
My commute includes busy streets like Samish way, Lincoln st., and Fairhaven parkway, however with the eBike my riding confidence rarely wavered! Since turning in the eBike, I have already used this new-found confidence to commute to work on my normal bicycle in a timely manner. Thank you WWU Sustainability for this awesome opportunity and good luck to future or prospective riders!”
Thanks so much for participating Roseve, and we hope you keep on riding, too!
