Biking Commuting Fitness with Jillian Trinkaus
Have you been contemplating riding your bike to work, but you are not sure how to get started? Take this class and become a successful bike commuter. If you ride 1, 2, or 5 days a week, the key to your success is to be prepared and to be confident of your bike skills.
The benefits of taking this class include:
- Adding an active commute to your day is a great way to get (or stay) in shape.
- A trip plan specific to your commute that will take you on the most pleasant route to campus.
- Answers to all your questions about bike commuting.
- A coach to cheer you on and provide encouragement and accountability.
- Support from your classmates.
If you are working from home this summer, take this opportunity to practice commuting to WWU by bike. You can ride as if you were going to work and back and you can do it at any time of the day you want or on the weekend. Jillian will help you make your ride manageable by starting small; for instance, you can ride ¼ of the way and back for a week, and progress until you are ready for the full ride.
If you want to practice your bike skills on city streets with Jillian, she will set up a one-on-one, socially distanced ride with you.
