All of us should visit our health care provider from time to time, even when we are or think we are healthy. We call these regular check-ups preventive care visits. By focusing on prevention instead of treatment, these visits can help us maintain or improve our health by avoiding serious problems through early detection. Preventative care is covered 100% by your PEBB medical plan (see certificate of coverage or check with the plan for full list of services).
Living tobacco free helps you breathe easier, feel better, and have more energy to do what you enjoy. You can also save money. As a Public Employees Benefits Board (PEBB) member, you save both the money you would use to buy tobacco and the monthly payment for the tobacco use premium surcharge.
All employees receiving PEBB benefits have access to tobacco cessation programs. Go to the program for your medical plan to get started.
