Yesterday, Senator Patty Murray, the top-ranking Democrat on the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee, laid out her vision for the reauthorization of the federal Higher Education Act (HEA), which she hopes to accomplish this year.  Murray’s priorities for HEA reauthorization are centered on affordability, campus safety, expanding access to historically underrepresented students and institutional accountability for student success.
