Today, HB 1755, which allows regional universities like WWU to offer applied doctorate level degrees in education (Ed.Ds), was voted out of the Senate Higher Education Committee by a unanimous vote.   There was a public hearing on the bill on March 14^th, where representatives from WWU, CWU and EWU all testified to the benefits of the bill.  The bill now advances to the Senate Rules Committee.
