About WWU Queer Con

Queer Con is an annual LGBTQ+ comics and media fan convention at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA.  This year, Queer Con 2020 is April 25th from 10 am – 5 pm.

Who are we?

Queer Con is organized by a group of dedicated queer people who want to create a space to celebrate queer and LGBT+ identity, creativity, and community. The goal for WWU Queer Con is to provide an opportunity to highlight queer stories and creators in an inclusive and friendly space and strengthen the queer and LGBT+ community at WWU and the greater Bellingham area. The people behind this event strive to ensure that it is family-friendly and accessible to anyone who may want to join the fun.

WWU Queer con will include an artist alley featuring professional and student creators, vendors offering all sorts of queer and geek related items, and panels focusing on queer stories, experiences, and other queer topics. Cosplay is welcomed and encouraged, however, this event is open to all ages so be mindful about what you wear.

Location and Time

This year, WWU Queer Con will be a single-day event on April 25th, 2020 that will be taking place in the Academic West building on the WWU campus and will run from 10 AM to 5 PM.
