Our Story

Over the years, several Western Washington University offices have worked to provide faculty and staff with instructional resources, including the Center for Instructional Innovation (CIIA), our teaching and learning center, the Academic Technology (ATUS) Teaching, Learning, and Technology offices–which includes the CIIA, Digital Media Center/DMC, and Student Technology Center/STC among others, Outreach and Continuing Education/Western Online, and Western Libraries.

As our work became more intertwined, the need arose to have a shared repository of inspirational and informative resources to support teaching and learning practices. To be certain, this idea did not only come from our personnel. We held a series of open talks called the Digital Learning Inquiry Project where faculty, staff, and students met eight times throughout the fall 2019 term. In addition, one strong sentiment from the extensive “Remote Teaching” trainings our offices offered during the spring and summer of 2020, was to have a one-stop shop for instructional resources, such as this!

Please help us keep this resource relevant and all inclusive of our teaching and learning ideas by submitting your ideas and/or resources via the Contribute form. Thank you!
