Resources for ePortfolios with Campus Press
Join AJ Barse, ATUS, to learn about the potential of WordPress for WWU, now available for every student, staff, and faculty member.
It is said that 25% of internet sites and blogs run on the WordPressplatform. With WordPress for WWU, students can start creating their own web presence by creating their own personal blog or portfolio. Faculty can create research blogs, a professional website, or create a hub for their media and publications. This session with show a real class example (from a Winter 2016 course) of how faculty can use this platform with their students, as well as a more personalized example of how faculty and students can create a site as a portfolio.
WordPress for WWU features:
- Over 200 responsive themes (meaning they look great both on a desktop and mobile device
- Administrative level control, giving students skills in using the platform
- Plugins that enhance blog and site functionality
- Ability for students to export their site when they graduate, allowing them to take what they have already worked on (potentially for years) and continue it on their own web host.
Date of Session: 4/21/16, 12-12:50, HH222
