HitFilm is a UK based software company offering entry Premiere level video editing; but at fraction of the cost. HitFilm Express is free (and used to edit this promo) and offers multi track video and audio. It is based off a freemium model, so “add-on packs” are their monetization method. Things like exporting in other formats or getting additional color grading LUTs are at a reasonable, but added cost.
HitFilm Pro looks to be a full on Premier/AfterEffect competitor, and at $300 I would hope so. It also provides workflow plugins with all other major editing software which could be useful for anyone who is looking to use Ignite Pro (which is their motion graphics software) with a Premiere or Final Cut Pro workflow.
