If Covid-19 has shown us anything, it is that we as a society can still connect and create from wherever we are in the world. The ability to collaborate, communicate, and create and use a wide range of tools to ‘make’ things is a fundamental digital literacy that all educators have to be able to incorporate into their courses. It isn’t about giving students what buzz words or applications they need to know for a job, but rather preparing them to think in a global world and use the skills and literacies to ‘connect things‘ to create and communicate effectively.
“Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn’t really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while.”
-Steve Jobs
