…the knowledge of who you are and where you come from 

Students conducted research about their family, ancestors, and relationship to the people and land where they grew up, responding to the terms: settler, arrivant and indigenous. Students interviewed family members and used an interactive mapping site to learn about the indigenous peoples and environments they came from. After completing their biographies, the students read them aloud and recorded themselves in their home backyards, uploading the videos to Flipgrid to share with each other.
