I was inspired by Jackson Pollock’s action painting techniques while creating this piece. I find it interesting that he would set his canvas on the ground and dribble/splash paint from above in calculated gestures. I tried to loosely emulate this process by sprinkling various dry snacks and cereals onto my canvas while moving my hand along a path and repeating until the entire canvas was covered with layered food.
