I made a wash out of coffee and green tea on a piece of paper. The wash itself was inspired by Willem de Kooning with its blotches and undefined form. The edges of the paper weren’t taped down to let the paper warp and drive the “paint” around. After, I took some of the steeped tea leaves to create tree lines and foliage on the mountain I saw in the paper. I used bigger pieces at the bottom to bring the foothills closer in an attempt to give the mountain a 3D-ish appearance in its tree lines.
