I’ve always been interested in genealogy, and over the years I’ve been able to find out a lot about my ancestors. I took sixteen images of my direct relatives (some taken in the 1850s) and merged them together using a few different pieces of software. The image displayed here is the result, and it looks surprisingly like me. I suppose I took the term hybridity literally, as this is comprised of many images merged together. On a deeper level, it represents my roots, the very characteristics that make me who I am today.
