the subject matter for my studio art project is myself, both in the now and back 21 years ago. i chose to reconfigure these two images together as an ode to growing older, that the identity that i once possessed as a small child is different and yet similar to the identity that i relate to now. despite how much we change as we grow older, the evolution of our self through the growing years is only a reflection of the potential we possess as a young child.
