This gallery of images, Don’t Tread on Me, is meant to evoke the same disturbing outrage as many pro-life protest signs evoke. Copying their format, this collection shows how lack of abortion access affects women and includes surgical images taken during the removal of my ruptured ectopic pregnancy.

I hope that these images reach the eyes of those who drag those repulsive pro-life signs out into public, aiming to convert and condemn those seeking abortions, these people who would, in the same breath, say, “Don’t tread on me.” I hope these images also empower those who have witnessed their actions to find a means of resistance.
