For this project, I decided to draw a map depicting the amount of gun-regulation laws each state has (and, more specifically, to highlight the discrepancies and inconsistencies across the country). I chose to draw flowers in a somewhat childlike manner because many incidents involving guns that are highlighted in media also, unfortunately, involve children. With the flowers as well, I wanted them to symbolize the idea that the more regulation there is, the more life there is (ie: the more flowers there are). In the somewhat opposite vain, I chose to use bright colors to imitate a hope I have (or, rather, that I must have) for a growth of gun safety in America. (NOTE: one flower does NOT equal one law)
