I created this in response to the short-sighted and ineffective response of government agencies to adequately clean up after environmental disasters occur. I wanted to emphasize that the responses utilized don’t fix the problems but instead temporarily offset the negative side affects in an unsustainable way. I tried to represent this with the gasmasks on the people near the polluted sludge.
