For this assignment I chose to present my art as a digital drawing. My piece contains references to a handful of the hundreds of books currently banned in the state of Texas, including works about LGBTQ, race, and science. I find it crucial to credit these authors whose voices have been silenced, so instead of making something to represent the banned books I chose to add the book titles into my piece.

For the end result, I chose to give my piece a chromatic aberration, which blurred out a lot of the small, tedious detailing. My choice to do this was because I found the list of banned books so emotionally overwhelming to see, that I felt the end result was too static, and the aberration gave it the expressive movement I wanted.
