Having contracted the COVID virus, I found myself into a very challenging ordeal that I wouldn’t wish upon my worst enemy. The experience was undoubtedly the worst ‘cold’ I have ever experienced. For the past week, I was bedridden, even the effort to produce phonation took a toll on my body. Time seemed to warp and twist in unimaginable ways, as each passing day dragged on like an eternity. My concept of time lost its meaning. The familiar pace of the world became a slow agonizing crawl; hours melded together, as if the boundaries between day and night blurred together. As my world became a fuzz inside the four walls around me, I could hear everything that happened outside. Children playing, cars driving by, and the sound of my agony.
