Light pollution is something that is hard to escape in the modern world. If you drive at night to the city, you will still see lights twinkling, but they will not be in the sky. The sky is brighter, and if sometimes you can just make out the brighter stars. Taking down the stars from starry night uses plagiarism and irony to convey what we have lost.

The starless night enveloped the world in a shroud of deep, inky darkness. Without the twinkling guidance of celestial bodies, the landscape felt eerily silent and profoundly still. Yet, in this profound obscurity, the alabaster illumination of the moon cast an ethereal glow, creating ghostly silhouettes of trees and buildings. This pale light, so gentle yet unwavering, offered a stark contrast to the enveloping blackness, infusing the night with a serene, almost magical quality. The absence of stars rendered the scene uniquely poignant, as if the heavens had surrendered their brilliance to the moon’s soft, alabaster illumination.
