“bay split”
For my Project NOW piece, I wanted to capture the beauty of Bellingham Bay but also show how the water can be different shades of blue, green, and white. Bellingham Bay has been polluted for over 150 years due to industrialization from different pulp mills and oil refineries. This opaque collage is influenced specifically by Rothko and his use of simple blocking and square shapes.
Both photos are shot by myself and edited in Adobe Photoshop.
