I wanted to use a nonpermanent medium to minimize my own contribution to the problem my work is addressing: waste and unsustainable practices. All tape was removed from the flowers and paper and compacted to dispose of. My work is inspired by Dinh Q Le’s grass weaving and the general relationship between art and flowers. While my clothes are not wearable, they are fun and bright representations of what sustainable clothes could be like (rather than beige, non-local, and expensive).
