I chose to create a work centered around the LGBTQ+, particularly trans, coverage in media. While there seems to be a constant spotlight on LGBTQ+ people, it often is negative and protrays them in a devilish light. I portrayed this idea by having the shadow shaped like an imp and the subject surrounded by darkness in a spotlight, while they take an exasperated breath. Pen on paper.
