My piece is called “Disquieted Mind” and it reflects the psychological ramifications of the current campaign against trans people in the U.S. This piece has elements of sound collage and was inspired by Dadaist poetry- I found several relevant poems that reflected various aspects of the trans experience in ways that I identify with and scrambled the words of lines from each of them. However, I took a crucial line from each one and read it in full.
