This piece consists of the infamous picture that went viral on twitter last year of the women’s weight room versus the men’s weight room in the NCAA D1 volleyball final where the women’s had minimal equipment prepared for them whereas the men’s were provided with everything they needed. George Washington’s expressions are used to represent how the athletes have responded to the way the get treated. George’s smile represents the satisfaction the men feel in getting all the investment, whereas Washington’s frown represents the sadness in the lack of investment made in women’s sports.
