My intention with this work was to show the cables ‘erupting’ from the ground, with the sparing use of color representing the electricity we use as the blood of the earth, from the ecological damage that is caused generating it. Once we are done using all of these products (for whatever reason; either it breaks or something convinces us to replace it with a new one), they generate an incredible amount of e-waste, and even though the size of this pile may be an exaggeration for an individual’s use, I wanted to emphasize the volume of what is actually thrown away (and of course in reality it would be much, much more). Overall, I’m not very happy with my execution, but I was satisfied with the concept.
