For this project I decided rather than just drawing myself, I would explore literally both sides of myself. Pictured here is a photo of my parents together when they were my age. I have overlayed my own face at 50% to show the resemblance as well as discordance I have with them. While the concept of physical similarities in important, I’d like to see this as a way to visually describe the idea that I am a creation all my own and there is a piece of me in them as they are in me. I love them very much.
