Growing up as a mixed race kid it was kind of hard to find where I fit in, I went to a very racially tense school, where I was treated as a lesser individual because I wasn’t enough for either of the identities that I held. But recently after moving up to Washington, I have found a reasonably diverse group of friends who appreciate me for me, identity free, meaning I can fully express all of the parts of myself that I am most passionate about.
