For my soundscape I chose to record the set up process before playing the guitar. I recorded myself plugging in the amp, effects pedals, and tuning the guitar to capture the process someone goes through before playing. I wanted to record this rather than actually playing a song because I felt like this captured the atmosphere that every guitar player has experienced. the setup process can be seen as a ritual and capturing those sounds can be sort of a meditation.
